Dog Friendly Places: Kickass Cupcakes

Has your pup been extra good lately? Well, when Riley has been a good girl, I take her for a walk down to Kickass Cupcakes. Located in Davis Square at 378 Highland Ave in Somerville, you will find a variety of amazing cupcakes for yourself and special pupcakes for your pup! Riley and I are regulars, we just can’t get enough of them. There’s good reason, these guys are artisanal bakers, so everything is made from scratch daily. The ingredients are very simple: honey, flour, mayonnaise, carrot powder and water, and let’s not forget the tasty dog biscuit on top! I’m positive your pup will love them as much as mine does.

Have more furry friends at home and don’t want to leave them out? There are also cupcakes for cats! The cat cupcake has cheese and catnip sprinkled on them. Which make our cat Brooke jump for joy! We always make sure to reward our pets with a tasty treat when they are well behaved and Kickass Cupcakes is the way to go!

Dog Friendly Places: Fresh Pond Reservation, Cambridge MA

FreshPond

When Riley and I are looking for ways to beat the heat, there is no place she’d rather go than Fresh Pond. Her furry brown hairs perk up when she hears the words, “Want to go to Fresh Pond?” Located off of Concord Ave in Cambridge, this pond isIf you are a cambridge resident, your dog has the freedom to run off leash beside you and play with the other friendly pups you see along the way.All you have to do is get a medallion for your dog, from the city here’s how.

Riley and I go to Fresh Pond a few times a week for a run, and after every run, we stop so she can cool off and enjoy a swim with the rest of the dogs that can’t get enough of the water. There are disposable bags at various points around the pond as well as a water fountain that is specially made for you and your pup. This is definitely the spot to bring your dog if you’re looking to burn off some energy and tire your pup. Just be aware that lot parking is for Cambridge residents only, so look on street if you’re from out of town.
