Jill Hourihan, Owner:

The founder of Running the Pack, Jill is an avid runner who loves animals of all shapes and sizes.

She is an active member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. As a dedicated animal advocate she is currently on the NAAPS Animal Rights and Law Committee, tasked with keeping members up to date on all the latest domestic animal legislation nationally.

Jill graduated from Smith College with a degree in Music and Sociology.

Alex, Founding Member:

Alex has had quite an exciting life! Born in North Carolina in 2003, Alex roamed the country side with his own pack before being brought to a rescue farm. Eventually, he was shipped up north to the Buddy Dog Animal Rescue League, where he and Jill first met. They have been inseparable ever since.

An active happy dog, Alex's favorite activities include taking runs, sniffing things, and riding in the car. He is a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow mix with the best of both dispositions.

Jana Williamson, Manager Greater Boston:

Jana joined Running the Pack in 2007 and has been invaluable member ever since. Jana's duties include client consultation, and new walker orientation and training. She also oversees the daily operations of  our Boston, Somerville and Cambridge walkers and runners.

 Along with her rescue dog Riley, Jana is also a regular weekly contributor to the our Blog "Alex's Corner" Where she writes her Life of Riley Column, highlighting all the dog friendly places and parks in the greater Boston Area.

Jana has a B.A in Communication from Wheaton College.

Jillian Rizley, Office Manager:

Jillian joined Running the Pack in 2011 and is a invaluable member of the administrative team. Handling a variety of daily tasks from client communications to billing, Jillian is often the friendly voice you hear on the other side of the phone and handles scheduling changes and coverage arrangements with ease.

Jillian has a B.S in Marketing from Bentley University.
